DescriptionA Robert Half Technology client has an employment opportunity for a Sr. Software Engineer. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the New Braunfels, Texas area.RESPONSIBILITIES
Designing, developing, deploying and establishing support documentation of software applications across different platforms.
Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle with other business units and end-users to define, grow, enhance and implement workflow and web technologies for the long-term.
Work with technical teams in designing, implementing and supporting software solutions.
Contribute in guiding the design and standards of web integration access methods as it pertains to the business.
Provide advice and support for all initiatives as it pertains to integrating data or systems, etc. into new or existing web applications.
Support existing solutions: troubleshooting, monitoring, performance/capacity management.
Provide feedback into the organization as it pertains to process or technology improvements for long term problem resolution.
Implement service requests for the lines of business that need improvements or modifications to internal applications.
Conduct unit test development components to ensure features, functions and customizations are functional with minimal negative impact on members/users as well as maintaining systems.
Provide timely status and feedback to management, team leaders and project sponsors as required, always guidance, responding to questions and setting expectations with effective communication.
Stay up-to-date on newest technologies and/or professional development and apply to improve internal software development processes and implement creative solutions.
Assist with the evaluation, implementation and support of packaged application tools.
Participate in the full application development lifecycle.
Participate in the agile development process (daily standups, sprint planning, task breakdown and estimation, and end-of-sprint demos, etc.).
Expectation to act as a team leader (at times) and help train less-experienced software engineers.
RequirementsREQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience
Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in software design and development
Experience using multi-tiered applications, as well as ability to thoroughly design, code, and implement web-based applications
Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript and other front-end frameworks
.NET Framework and .NET Core
Azure, Kubernetes and Docker
ASP.NET MVC
ASP.NET WebAPI
HTML, CSS
RESTful Web Services
SQL Server

Team Foundation Server
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies).
Document experience designing, developing and delivering solutions using a variety of enterprise applications (custom and/or packaged product approaches).
Knowledge of internet-based infrastructure, technology and concepts in a enterprise setting
Ability to quickly grasp new technologies, applications and concepts to apply in projects
