Operations Center Technician

Reports to the Operations Center Director

The Operations Center Technician is a non-exempt position based on the Dept. of Labor standards set forth in the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position will require a valid drivers license, ability to pass both pre-hire and post hire drug screenings in accordance with company policy and the ability to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties

Document in real time, conversations with field staff by entering data into appropriate systems.

Monitor vehicle GPS and manage systems to include reporting, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Enter updates/changes into time keeping systems “ Timeworks / ADP and make manual changes as needed.

Utilize EXCEL spreadsheets to issue purchase orders and to track / reconcile purchases.

Work order processing.

Professionally and appropriately address difficult situations in the field and individuals that may not use appropriate language.

Handle multiple duties and effectively prioritize tasks based on time sensitivity.

Administrative duties to include completion of reports that other team members provide input via verbally, text or email.

Track vehicle records and tags.

Manage man camp rosters and availability.

Manage inventory and issue company uniforms, safety gear and hand tools.

Complete locate requests and follow-up to ensure completion.

Update management team as appropriate on various projects and daily reports.

Update inventories provided by several departments to include lay flat, yard and mechanic inventory.

Will be responsible for the ordering, issuing, and monitoring of company issued fuel cards.

Perform One Calls

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Typing at a minimum of 40 wpm

Knowledge of Job Costing

Team-oriented

Ability to use GPS systems

Ability to use telephone system, cell phone, IPADs, laptop, etc.

Must have knowledge of timekeeping rules, regulations and policies and be able to track and update timekeeping software as needed.

Can multi task with minimal supervision

Strong analytical skills to include spreadsheet skills

Ability to use salesforce software if needed

Job Type: Full-time

Department will be operational on a 24 hour basis 365 days a year. Employees must be willing to work their assigned shifts. Shifts will generally be 8 hours in length, but are subject to change based on business need with little notice. Shifts and schedule assignments will be communicated by the department supervisor.
