A utomation Specialist

Our client, a leader in the automation industry and a fully integrated provider of instrumentation, electrical, automation and automation engineering services, is looking to hire an

Automation Specialist. This is a field-based role in the Odessa, TX area. The work schedule will be 5 day/week basis (typically 50 hours/wk) with some additional overtime.

Duties: Responsible for installing and maintaining

automation and communication equipment on tank batteries, processing plants, and compressor stations in the oil & gas field industry, as well as identifying areas of improvement to increase operation efficiency. • Understanding of

ethernet and Modbus networks • Program and configure

RTU and/or PLC devices, HMI's, etc. • Install and calibrate numerous

level, pressure, and temperature transmitters • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain various communication devices • Comply with all regulatory, environmental and safety rules and standards, as well as policies

Experience • 5+ years of experience with

PLC programming and/or RTU programming • Ability to

program operator touch screens • Understanding of

electronic flow meters and other production equipment • Measurement experience is a plus • Previous experience with

Allen Bradley equipment and ScadaPack are strongly preferred •

Radio and Modem communication experience • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications

Education/Requirements • High School diploma or GED required, technical school a plus • B e available for call-outs during customer emergencies • Intense focus on ensuring a safe working environment always • Strong desire to satisfy customers' needs and work as a team • Unyielding integrity/ethics, high energy, with a strong sense of urgency, and excellent judgment • Must be able to pass Company's Drug Screen and background screen • Must have a valid Drivers' License
