Asset Management Technician

Requisition Number: 83433 The Asset Management Technician provides computer asset management and asset distribution preparation on the Plano Campus. The Asset Management Technician will be involved in the activities performed within the Plano Campus, including;
  • Tracking assets through end to end lifecycle. Experience with Service Now and HPSM Receipt and shipment of assets
  • Preparing assets for corporate distribution
  • Performing monthly inventory and cycle counts for all equipment
  • Processing all disposal and sale of equipment
  • Identify and escalate issues that arise during work activities
  • Support branch and corporate applications, leveraging knowledge of current and new technologies
  • Anticipate the needs of clients and acts accordingly
  • Provide on premise support for projects and other support teams where needed
  • Support the identification of trends in incidents and work orders and help to identify solutions and reduce incidents
  • Perform asset controls activity in support of corporate asset management strategy
  • Uses experience from role to provide feedback to leadership on ways to improve efficiencies and automate tasks
  • Work with groups across IT to test new software and provide feedback

Qualified candidates will have top notch customer service skills and excellent organizational skills. Experience with hardware and software support, troubleshooting, system imaging, hardware break-fix support (i.e. laptops, desktops, and printers), refresh, upgrade and deployment projects.
  • 1+ years field services work experience
  • Proficient with current versions of MS Windows and Mac Operating Systems and MS Office applications
  • Proven experience working with customers or end users
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Strong experience with using MS Office products
  • Ability to function effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of ITIL Asset Management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft (MCP or MCSE), ITIL, or A+ certifications
  • Network + certification or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of or experience with imaging and diagnostic tools
  • Supply Chain and Asset Management experience
