Your Career

The Professional Services Support Staff will provide consulting services to Palo Alto Networks’ customers and onsite/field Professional Services Consultants and Resident Engineers, following documented methodologies, in the areas of basic device and software configuration and upgrades, initial Panorama configuration, greenfield (new) policy configuration buildout, technical and non-technical documentation (diagrams, customer run book, internal documentation), and performing the data gathering and review for a health check and best practice assessments. The Professional Services Support Staff also will assist the Global Practice Leads in the development and review of content as directed. This is an entry-level position for which Palo Alto Networks will train the right candidate for success.

Your Impact

  • Configuration (initial), licensing, upgrade, and best practice setup of the Palo Alto Networks security solutions
  • Understanding and support for Edge Routing portfolio of Network Security to include SD-WAN
  • Greenfield buildout of new security policies and supporting objects
  • Data gathering for assessments of customer configurations
  • Firewall rule conversion and migration leveraging Palo Alto Networks tools and methodologies
  • Build technical documentation, including network diagrams, in support of Professional Services engagements
  • Perform validation and assessments of Palo Alto Networks configurations leveraging Palo Alto Networks lab environments

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent education/training/experience
  • Experience with remote user access technologies
  • WAN Networking knowledge. Understandingtransport between end-users, enterprise, and data centers
  • Experience with Tunneling protocols such as SSL/TLS, IPSec, GRE
  • Authentication methodologies, including 2FA, RADIUS, LDAP, AD
  • IP Routing: BGP, Static, Network Address Translation
  • Certificate Management Experience
  • Next-Generation Firewall capabilities, configuration, and deployment
  • Experience deploying and configuring SD-WAN technologies
  • Ability to work within small creative teams as well as cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication (written and verbal)
  • Strong presentation skills both internally and externally
  • Ambitious attitude
  • Leadership skills, being able to generate enthusiasm and commitment
  • Ability to effectively multi-task on internal initiatives and customer projects
  • Ability to lead a team on internal investment projects and customer projects
  • Ability to deliver complex solutions in customer environments individually or as a team leader

Salary disclosure required by sb19-085 for positions located in the state of Colorado: If hired in Colorado, this position starts at a salary of $70,600/yr. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary. Restricted stock units and bonus pay may also be offered as part of this compensation package, as well as benefits that include: flexible paid time off, employee stock purchase program, medical, dental, vision, 401K, life, and disability insurance.
