Reporting to the VP, Treasurer, the Director, Credit will play a critical role in building out a world-class credit organization. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a newly formed organization within the Company - Palo Alto Networks Financial Services - leveraging prior experience and knowledge to grow and expand the organization’s contributions and financing capabilities.

This is a people management role.

Your Impact

  • Build out a global credit team and strengthen the organization’s credit risk management capabilities; proactively manage credit assessment and deal qualification process.
  • Drive business value with a cross-functional, collaborative approach working closely with deals desk, accounting, and PANFS operations.
  • Proactively develop and manage credit analytics to identify and monitor trends, and robust portfolio risk metrics.
  • Develop and communicate strong credit governance, risk and control policies.
  • Lead risk financial forecasting efforts, maintaining credit loss models and reserves, as required under CECL (Current Expected Credit Losses) accounting standard.
  • Actively participate in identifying and implementing funding-related strategies and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting; MBA or CFA designation is a plus
  • 10+ years’ experience as a global leader in financing/lending
  • Advanced analytical, technical and quantitative skills; prior knowledge in building risk metrics.
  • Ability to provide sound financial business judgement, strategic thinking and broad business perspective across the organization.
  • Highly effective in setting priorities, excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Collaborative and highly professional demeanor.
  • Exceptional organization, prioritization, multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite applications as well as certain Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to solve problems and think quickly under pressure.
  • Work effectively as a team player in a collaborative environment as well with peers and members of the greater organization.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Palo Alto Networks Financial Services was formed to provide financing arrangements to Palo Alto Networks, Inc.’s Enterprise customers. The program was established in April 2020 in the US and will be expanding internationally over the next 12 months.
