Design, configure and deploy LAN and WAN network connections, hardware, software and communication links and services. Optimize the network and systems services and troubleshoot any network performance issues. Responsible for the ser vice provision and monitoring of the network infrastructure to company standards.Day to Day: support break fixes, routing, switching issues. Implementing firewall rules, looking at design to make sure it meets what they originally set out to, working with other internal sources, helping tier 1's, working with vendors. Network capacity to troubleshoot routing switching, man service requests (adding a route, changing pgp configurations, adding firewalls, etc.)Experience Level: Intermediate to Expert LevelAdditional Skills & Qualifications:-Specific knowledge and 3 to 5 years' experience with Cisco and Juniper routers -Knowledge of internetworking designs and their applications and routing -Solid knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 internetworking technologies -Experience with protocols -Firewall experience with firewalls such as (Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, Checkpoint NG etc.) -Extensive experience with Cisco switches and routers -Certifications such as (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, Engineering, or related experience. (not required) Duration: 6 Contract-to-Hire. They are looking to bring this person on full time. When the individual becomes full-time they will receive a pay increase, and Comcast benefits.Work Schedule: On site 5x a week. Hybrid capacity will be available.
