Senior Contracts Specialist

The Contracts Specialist will provide client on-site support managing new and existing agreements including, but not limited to the following: Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Software License and Services Agreements between the client and various third parties (such as App Providers, Content providers and software developers). This role interacts with several internal teams including Procurement and Legal in addition to the Product Owners across Connected Technologies. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent the client's perspective during negotiations with third parties
  • Provide recommendations for contractual language and/or approach to contractual relationship, under the direction of Management
  • Draft Statements of Work
  • Manage open contract action item list and provide real time status on each contract
  • Coordinate meetings, strategy discussions, negotiations, and overall planning initiatives and maintain version control of agreements
  • Research existing agreements and provide summary or interpretation of language as requested
  • Manage contracts through the contract approval process working with Procurement and/or Legal as necessary
  • Maintain confidentiality of all agreements and business strategies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required, in a technology related field preferred
  • 8-10 years experience negotiating, managing and drafting language for contracts
  • Previous contract/procurement experience related to software development, software licenses, securing 3rd party content and/or SAAS
  • Working knowledge of Agile framework
  • Strong research, analysis, strategy skills with the ability to multi-task and manage complex projects
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Expertise at developing relationships with a broad range of personalities
  • Great problem solving and analytical skills with solution-oriented mindset and win-win attitude
  • Creative with ability to work within practical boundaries
  • Flexible and adaptable to a rapidly changing environment
  • Telematics experience strongly desired
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OrangePeople-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OrangePeople Account Management as requested
