Position Summary:

Customer Protection Authentication Team is looking for a Senior Solution Architect. We're globally distributed team responsible for omni-channel customer identification, authentication, authorization and maintenance across multiple customer segmentations with secure, user friendly, stable, reliable, scalable and cost effective solution that handles millions and millions of transactions per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution architecture which aligns with the enterprise architecture strategy, technology and platform choices.
  • Describes the solution intent and the associated operating environment, determines the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces, defining non-functional requirements and architectural runway to support new epics/features.
  • Ensures the solution is fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders, vendors/service providers, and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions. Works across business and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision and evolves it to an emerging backlog.
  • Consults the business to clearly understand the business problems and technology to understand the technology challenges of the solution and finds creative solutions through practical experiments and POCs. Leads rapid shaping of a high level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements; ensures architecture is flexible and modular and designed to adapt easily.
  • Utilizes the defined best practices, templates and documentation to create architectural designs; suggests improvements to best practices and templates through practical knowledge.
  • Works with Product Manager/Owner to plan and prioritize technology focused backlog items for the architecture runway to enable business epics/features.
  • Clarifies the architecture for the development teams to support implementation, and provides solution options to resolve any architectural impediments.
  • Performs design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements for a solution are sufficiently met (e.g. security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability).
  • Educates team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies and best practices to create innovative solutions.
  • Create and maintain domain architecture strategies, blueprint and roadmaps showing the evolution of systems from current to target state to meet strategic business, financial and technology objectives through documentation of systems, architectures, process flows and value-chain models.
  • Identify risks to quickly resolve issues and conflicting priorities and influence a positive and effective outcome. Provide technical leadership and exposure across a broad scale of tools, technologies and architecture models through continuous mining of ideas, products and best practices.
  • Leverage technical expertise to support vendor selection activities including recommendations of when to make the appropriate build vs. buy decisions. Contribute to creation and evolution of architectural patterns, principles and guidelines.

Required Skills:

  • Experience designing and developing Identity, Authentication and Authorization system.
  • In depth knowledge of software security, authentication frameworks (OAuth, OIDC, SAML, FIDO), cryptography.
  • Application development knowledge and experience (Enterprise Applications, distributed services, container, microservices, distributed cache, rule engine and cloud).
  • Certification or extensive experience in industry best practices in architectural methodologies and standards (e.g. UML, BPMN, TOGAF, Zachman)
  • Modern application development and deployment (Automated Testing, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery)
  • Broad based IT knowledge and experience (hardware, software, middleware, databases)
  • Understand and empathize with the key challenges faced by sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Manage senior stakeholder expectations and build trust relationships.
  • Interpret business needs and promoting innovative technology solutions.
  • Support governance and oversight processes for managing alignment of change to strategic goals.
  • Translate complex concepts into multiple architectural strategies aimed at varying audiences.
  • Work effectively in a matrix organization with teams of architects, developers and business partners with minimal supervision.
  • Express ideas verbally and in writing to effectively communicate with and influence teammates, technology partners, business leaders and executives.
  • Resolving and influencing the positive outcome of conflicting objectives and priorities
