Privacy Engineer @ Plano, TX. This is a 12 plus months’ contract role. Please find below the details of the position.Job DescriptionPosition Title: Privacy Engineer Location: Plano, TXLength: Long term ContractSUMMARY: The Privacy Engineer is responsible for security/privacy design, and providing technical guidance to the product and process, with in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and privacy solutions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provide technical guidance to team in privacy field.
- Data privacy impact assessment as technical expert.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, legal teams.
- Provide technical input for mitigation and remediation, uncover incident trends requiring further action, and participate in privacy review, implementation review and audit processes.
- Demonstrate ownership of privacy technology and process, taking responsibility for their maintenance and improvement.
- Develop testable software code
- Experience focusing on security/privacy related research, design, and engineering.
- Experience translating regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA etc) into actionable technical specifications
- Experience working on privacy solutions in an engineering capacity.
- Deep understanding of web technologies, how they can be exploited and how they can be used to prevent against exploits.
- Deep technical understanding of online privacy threats and the existing solution space to protect against them.
- Excellent communication skills. You can validate your decisions and communicate them clearly.
- 5+ years industry experience in a role developing software in Python, PHP, Java, C/C (or equivalent language), including code maintenance and review.
- Extensive experience of software development applying with privacy by design.
- Security certifications (e.g. Security+, Network+, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP, CEH, etc
- Experience contributing to the security/privacy community.
- Automotive industry experiences.
- Dev(Sec)Ops experiences.
- Experiences of database
- High integrity, with a proactive, positive approach to work
