Introduction: Micro Focus Maintenance Modernization Programs Portfolio

The mission of Maintenance Modernization is to maximize revenue retention by providing strategic and operational support to the internal ecosystem that is driving customer value realization and contract renewals. The programs will be executed by global cross-functional teams impacting $2B+ annualized recurring revenue.

About the Role:

As a member of Maintenance Modernization Programs management team, Programs Portfolio Manager defines, manages, and evaluates business plans to ensure they are operationally executable against specified strategic objectives. Leads and partners with cross-functional teams to develop tactical plans, drives critical decisioning and ensures programs are successfully executed.

In addition, Programs Portfolio Manager will be responsible for launch and project management of multiple global programs and ensuring successful execution by defining programs success metrics, driving governance, evaluating execution and making recommendations to business leaders on performance target achievement.

The Programs Portfolio Manager will:
  • Translate high-level strategic initiatives into tactical plans and programs for execution
  • Manage the overall program portfolio for Maintenance Modernization
  • Develop options and recommendations to drive critical decisions
  • Partner with regional Renewal Sales, Operations and Customer Success teams to drive execution of customer retention programs and renewal campaigns
  • Drive governance across all programs including visibility for leadership
  • Identifies scope creep and works directly with managers to ensure that all changes in the program/project have executive buy-in
  • Facilitates meetings and other communication including status reporting and meeting notes
  • Seeks process improvements and works directly with team members to ensure processes are updated in real-time
  • Drives change management including enablement, documentation and communication
  • Create and maintain highly detailed documentation of playbooks, scripts and lists
  • Manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Establish project trackers and success measures to monitor and report on execution and effectiveness of programs and campaigns

Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ Years managing large-scale technical projects and programs, with experience managing project financials including an in-depth understanding of ROI

Skills and Knowledge Required:
  • Motivated, organized self-starter, able to solve routine or complicated problems effectively and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Very strong project management skills are required. The ability to work with disparate teams, often in different geos, prioritize tasks and following up on them is critical for success in this role.
  • Comfortable with authoring many types of documents, including agendas, action/project plans, and presentations. Strong skills with spreadsheets and a variety of data/information.
  • Understanding of project management best practices like agile, scrum, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in cross-functional environment
  • Willingness and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Able to work independently.
  • A passion for technology and an ability to identify new opportunities for efficiency and productivity
  • Validated experience in a high growth, highly scaled recurring revenue environment
