Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Specialist with our client in the financial industry in their Plano, TX location. This is a 6 month + contract-to-hire position. Description:
  • Responsible for preparation and execution of functional testing services
  • Should be a key individual contributor to Quality Assurance (QA) project teams within T&O
  • Works with project teams to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed
  • Thoroughly analyzes requirements and comes up with test scenarios and plan to implement the testing
  • Effectively coordinates the work with the offshore team, if required. Should be able to do multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Implements lessons learned/best practices to improve the quality of the releases
  • Develop Test Plan for the project and involve in all phases of Test Execution
  • Communicate with onshore Leads regarding project queries and escalate on risks and issues to stakeholders
  • Perform Post-deployment - Sanity/Functional and Regression Tests

Requirements:
  • 5 years of total experience in Test Planning and Execution following SDLC and STLC
  • 1 to 2 Years of experience with any test automation tool set - Selenium/UFT/BDD/Mobile Automation
  • Strong hands-on experience in writing SQL Scripts and performing Database Testing
  • Organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of defect management process and Enterprise Testing standards
  • Expertise with QA Deliverables tool set - (Quality Center, SharePoint, Microsoft Project/Excel)
  • Strong background in Agile/Waterfall/Scaled Agile Methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Agile tools (Jira/Rally)
  • Experience with Onshore/Offshore model, knowledge sharing
  • Expertise in translating business requirements to Test Scenarios
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Communicates effectively
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changes
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • API testing experience is a plus
  • Prior hands-on knowledge of testing CRM application is a plus, but this is not mandatory
  • Experience with working on Mobile applications- iOS and Android is a plus
  • Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
