Bank of America is looking to build out their testing capabilities in the Plano, TX. We are seeking a talented QA automation engineer to design testing procedures for our software applications. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance. You will also be required to identify bugs, create data, and collaborate with the software design team.To ensure success as a QA automation engineer, you should have advanced programming skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent project management skills. Also, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the testing effort for a variety of projects across multiple lines of business and technology platforms.The automation engineer is expected to learn the business and technical components of an application to appropriately communicate risk and status to senior project management and executives. Work with their peers across the organization to drive test efficiencies, improve frameworks, and enhance the enterprise testing process. They deliver regular reports identifying these bugs to other members of the engineering team. Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to find the best methods for solving problems in apps and systems. Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas. Sketching out ideas for automated software test procedures. Troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures. Identifying quality issues and creating test reports. Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field or related years of experience Previous experience working as a QA automation engineer. Advanced programming skills including automation systems and databases. Familiarity with programming script languages including Java and VBScript. Excellent analytical skills and project management skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Must have 1-4 years of hands-on scripting/coding skills with at least one language such as Ruby, Java, C#, etc; Used SQL to perform data base testing, Logs for Events involved in Functional, Regression, sanity, smoke and Exploratory testing etc Prior experience in Automation testing (UFT/QTP/Selenium/TOSCA/RIT/SOATest).Desired Skills:Knowledge in Agile, & Scrum methodology•Strong SQL experience;•Selenium Web Driver; Rally•Extensive knowledge in UFT/QTP/Selenium•Experience in Web Service and SOA service testing automation tools such as SoapUI and Postman;•Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; enjoys working in a team environment;•Strong experience in VBScripts and Descriptive Language;•Gherkin scripting;•Knowledge in Oracle databases and SQL queries

Ensures the testing strategy and processes are well-defined and continuously improved for the team or teams. Establishes a test and automation strategy, creating common test frameworks, defining and managing test processes including test data generation, defect management and reporting. Creates and optimizes test processes including defect management and reporting. Contributes to building quality into the SDLC using best practices and tools. Creates a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, and Backend, etc.). Creates and optimizes test automation frameworks and use of test automation tools. Leads test planning for complex features that span across the platform or multiple teams. Ensures alignment and sign off for test cases from business and other stakeholders. Optimizes test suites employing techniques such risk-based testing. Manages test execution and assists with resolving, communicating or escalating any issues that may result in test plan variance. Contributes to test data management approach, processes and tools. Conditions and generates test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments.
