Release Manager Plano, TX Long Term Contract Responsibilities:

  • Professional Release Analyst experience in an IT software development environment.
  • The Release Analyst is responsible for driving and coordinating IT project releases and regular Keep-the-Light-On (KLO) releases for business application capabilities.
  • The Release Analyst will work closely with Release Manager and PO's and collaborate, coordinate and communicate with development teams, operation teams, and program managers to deliver high-quality
  • IT application releases.
  • Influence and implement best practices consistent with an agile development methodology.
  • Document, and facilitate Release Management meetings supporting multiple environments with multiple internal/external stakeholders
  • Align E2E processes and revise as needed. Collaborate and manage release processes across all functions within and with business stakeholders.
  • Provide oversight for deployment of releases into production environments through ensuring release readiness and adequate deployment list handoff to Service Delivery.
  • Facilitation cross functionally with different business areas to coordinate software change, configuration, and release functions.
  • Coordinate releases and analyze impacts to ensure that the integrity of the live environment is protected and that the correct components are released.
  • Follow up after each release to ensure expected behavior and communicate out
  • Ensure notifications are communicated in timely manner
  • Update release documentation and communicate out notifications
  • Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the Release management process across the organization and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain quality checks on releases and record those that directly or indirectly cause support Incidents.
  • Initial escalation point for issues relating to software release
  • Work with related stakeholder to maintain software release update, quality etc for US as well as other markets
Qualification:
  • 5+ years of software specification management related to IVI System along with software validation experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
  • Good knowledge on asset management and keeping track of changes and updates
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills are required, must be a self-starter and comfortable in team environment
  • Experience in Automotive background is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
