As a manager overseeing conversions at Tyler Technologies, you will lead and grow a team of engineers focused on database development and ETL processes migrating client data to Tyler systems. Your primary responsibility is serving your team. You clear roadblocks, champion innovation, and foster growth. You promote autonomy, ownership, and accountability. You recognize and empower superstars and coach those not meeting expectations. You don't shy away from difficult conversations or change. You are not a micro-manager. While you are not expected to write code, you've been a developer and understand the complexities and challenges of software development. You are confident delivering one-on-one feedback, listening to staff needs, and teambuilding for a dozen or more people. As a manager within the Professional Services department, you are focused on the successful delivery of implementation projects for new and existing clients. Successful implementations complete on time and within budget while maintaining work-life balance for staff. You work with others on the Conversion team to improve methods used during projects. You work with project teams to ensure conversion activities are executed properly. Note: 10%-25% Travel required - Must be open to traveling to Plano, TX location around once a quarter. Work with our integrated solutions that help courts and public safety organizations of all sizes better protect and serve the public. By helping provide solutions that improve efficiency and response time, you can help serve our citizens and make communities safer. Location Plano, Texas | Remote Travel 10-25% Responsibilities Supervise team of 10-20 engineers. Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff. Track staff availability to help maximize utilization. Enable and assist staff with career development objectives. Deliver coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations. Develop and implement staff performance improvement plans and individual development plans. Lead initiatives to evolve methods used to implement conversions. Assist with estimates for sales proposals. Qualifications 3+ years recent supervisory responsibilities of a 5+ person software or database development team. 5+ years prior software or database development experience. Able and comfortable delivering presentations to small groups, the entire department, and external clients. Optional but desirable: SQL Server / ETL database development experience, familiarity with Amazon Web Services, experience in a service or consulting organization. Colorado Code of Regulations 7 CCR 1103-13 Disclosure Salary will generally fall between $58,285 - $130,000 before adjustment for geographic differences.
