Job Description - Software Solutions Engineer - REMOTE
SOLUTIONS ENGINEER - REMOTE ICS is looking for an experienced Solution Engineer with SaaS experience who has exceptional technical skills who can help lead existing client migrations from on-premise to cloud and new logo implementations of our client's platform. WHAT YOU'LL DO- Solution services execution - billable delivery tasks such as installing software, configuring servers and media players, deploying creative media assets on clients' tenants and media players, performing software upgrades, setting up data integrations using APIs and more.
- Assist with project coordination and management - status calls, emails, status reports
- Participate in cross-functional meetings for technical support case resolution during projects
- Deploy software and solutions on customer hardware (media players, servers and VMs) to successfully complete billable projects
- Learn client's software offerings in depth and understand the sales to delivery services framework
- Communicate a working technical knowledge of third-party applications and associated API's that may be used with client's offerings to deliver complete solutions via API integrations
- Review SOWs for accuracy and feasibility and work with Sales Engineering on scoping questions
- Collaborate with other teams and share expectations to maintain a consistent customer experience
- Participate and/or lead project technical calls to ensure the delivery team and client have full understanding of the solution and specific expectations set during sales cycle
- Provide customer end user training classes
- Work with Product Management to capture common product requests from customers during projects.
- Create change orders during project delivery when necessary
- BS Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical field preferred.
- 2 - 5 years related experience in SaaS, digital signage, contact center technology or related industries and technical disciplines
- Track record of numerous successful and referenceable implementation, integration, or development projects and associated consulting; large clients preferred
- Strong knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu or RedHat), Computer Networking protocols, Security standards, and Cloud solutions
- Strong understanding and experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and SQL
- Technical knowledge of Databases including PostGreSQL, Microsoft SQL
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Should Have Baseline knowledge of A/V equipment & video distribution
- Good knowledge of web server programming languages such as JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, Perl, etc.
- Baseline knowledge of coding languages such as Java, Python, C, etc.
- Baseline knowledge of operating systems such as Chrome, iOS, and Android
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, and graphic/analysis tools
- Working knowledge of Audio/Video distribution and digital signage
- Experience implementing and supporting databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL) preferred
- Knowledge of triggers, beacons, mobile and screen technology, cabling, and video output characteristics (i.e.: resolutions)
