Location: This position will be located in one of our 4 main hub locations: Tempe, AZ, Dunwoody, GA, Richardson, TX, or Tempe, AZ.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated team member with SQL server administration experience and the aptitude to grow related skills and/or responsibilities. Qualified candidates should be customer service oriented and have strong interpersonal skills, enabling the team to provide direct support to a larger developer community.

Our Infrastructure Analysts:
  • Ensure that the technical infrastructure is sufficiently robust, scalable, and efficient to deliver the integrated services underlying the physical environment that supports the processes, resources, and operators required for developing, integrating, sustaining enterprise applications and support services
  • Address the day-to-day management and maintenance of infrastructure services, systems, and applications
  • Apply enterprise software development standards to gain efficiencies through the automation of infrastructure related activities (e.g. manage configuration, provisioning, performance monitoring)
  • Develop infrastructure strategy and operational policies, standards, and processes tailored to Enterprise Goals
  • Develop asset management processes that support the provisioning, reporting, ownership, risk, controls, and financial status of assets
  • Provide key information and partnership to Operations in order to ensure successful knowledge support
  • Ensure service level management through the development of processes, people, technology, and service level and operating level agreements
  • Ensure infrastructure and operations security, such as network and application firewalls, authentication, identity management, and intrusion detection and prevention
  • Demonstrate an understanding of agile framework and methodology
  • Based on assignment, requires competencies in data center operations, infrastructure platforms, and service delivery

Hybrid Work Environment: Selected candidates should plan to spend some time working at home and some time working in an office based on business need as part of our flexible work arrangement.

Incumbency: This position will have a 12-month incumbency period, beginning on the effective date of the position, which must be met before the employee can post for any other lateral State Farm position. Employees may be considered for leadership or Technology Engineer openings at any time, and a promotional position within the same job structure (i.e. Professional/Technical or Para-professional/Support) after 6 months from the effective date of the position. In these cases, the remaining incumbency would be waived. The incumbency period does not affect the at-will relationship between State Farm and the employee and does not create an employment contract, nor contractual rights.
