Job Description:

Role Summary: The Tanium Engineer participates in the design, development and support of systems, often using new technologies. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource. May manage projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. Provides technical knowledge and capabilities as a member of a project team or as an individual contributor. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants or managers. The Engineer is responsible for implementing reporting and enforcement solutions utilizing the Tanium suite.

Responsibilities:
  • Migrating functionality of existing tool set to Tanium
  • Leverage Tanium Patch and Connect to provide patch scan reports for the enterprise
  • Integrate patch scans with Cisco ISE
  • Migrate existing data collections to Tanium sensors
  • Integrate Tanium Patch with existing WSUS

Required Skills:
  • 5 or more years of Tanium experience, specifically with the Interact, Asset, Deploy, Connect and Patch modules
  • Minimum 5 years of system engineering experience within a large global company
  • Experience with Windows/UNIX/Linux system administration and understanding of SAN/NAS storage, and TCP/IP Networking
  • Operational experience in software deployment and vulnerability management tools (SCCM/BigFix)

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge and experience in utility scripting (e.g. bash, PowerShell, VBScript, Python, etc.)
  • ITIL Foundational Certified
  • Experience with software license compliance reporting.
  • Experience with SCCM, BigFix, BladeLogic, SQL, Database Admin, Systems Administration
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work with multiple groups to gather business requirements for product evidence and license compliance.
  • Strong analytical, multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, business environment
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence individuals in all regions of the organization
  • Ability to understand complex application infrastructure and model for license compliance reporting.
  • Ability to be a strong team player with commitment to overall organization goals.
