Qorvo is a place to stretch your imagination and push boundaries to achieve success.The Category Manager Equipment Spares (CM) is responsible for the effective coordination and optimization of the Equipment Spares procurement process. The CM maintains relationships with internal stakeholders at local Qorvo sites; organizes requirements and manages interactions with Suppliers. The CM implements comprehensive agreements with suppliers outlining all commercial and technical aspects. The CM maintaians ownership of supplier contracts, commercial terms and price performance. The CM will also lead periodic review sessions with key suppliers; implement cost and lead time reduction roadmaps, manage quotations and cost analysis to aid in negotiations and reduce the cost of Equipment Spares. The CM must generate competition, qualify alternative solutions, coordinate sample evaluations, visit supplier sites to evaluate capability, capacity and overall ability to deliver. The CM must also drive process standardization strategies across all Qorvo Fab sites, resolve supplier nonconformance issues and implement corrective actions, as well as prepare and present reports to management and the Executive Team.RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage the Global Qorvo spend on equipment spares and achieve annual cost reduction goalsCollaborate with technical stakeholders to qualify alternative sources of lower cost equipment sparesMeasure supplier performance, conduct supplier business reviews and implement improvementsMeasure spending and savings, set reduction goals and manage projects to achieve successTravel to other Qorvo sites and/or to visit suppliers as required to achieve objectivesSolid understanding of Semiconductor industry and knowledge about semiconductor equipment spare parts program managementSelf-Managed/Motivated: the ability to independently set priorities, meet commitments and the desire to seek valuable improvementsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to clarify complex situations, and gather consensus with internal and external audiencesMultitasking: the ability to manage numerous activities simultaneously and reprioritize in a fast paced, dynamic environmentExperience with SAP (Material Management module, PO, Material Master, etc.) and supplier contractsQUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge about global equipment spares programs in the semiconductor industryBackground in (or work closely with) Equipment Engineering and Repair and MaintenanceExperience working with third-party inventory services providers for managing slow moving inventory and/or security sparesExperience with consignment agreements and vendor-managed inventory programsBachelor of Science in Business Administration or similar5 years of relative work experienceBecause this position is part of a business unit that contracts with the US government, qualified candidates must be U.S. persons (generally a US citizen or green card holder).
