What you’ll be doing The Network Project Management team is responsible for project managing revenue driven builds for Verizon's legacy Transport network, including installation and network activation of optical transport equipment driven by Capacity Creation Requests (CCRs). The Network Project Manager will drive the deployment of conventional and next generation core network technologies; including NGPON, ROADM, NGROADM, Ultra Long-Haul (ULH), OTN Mesh, MSPP, DXC and associated electronics.Responsibilities include:

Partner with stakeholders to develop project plans, timelines and schedules.

Resolve issues in a timely manner to ensure internal and external commitments are met.

Drive Verizon functional team members to complete Milestones on Capacity Creation Requests by the appointed SLA.

Move materials through Verizon’s managed supply chain from supplier to on-site delivery.

Coordinate Verizon Operations to install, energize, test and inventory installed equipment.

Manage escalations for improved RFT dates or milestone resolution from internal Verizon customers (Verizon Partner Solutions (VPS)/Wholesale, Verizon Enterprise Solutions (VES)/Large Business, Federal / Government, Small/Medium Business).

Provide status on progress of individual CCR as needed by internal Verizon customers (daily, weekly, monthly as needed per CCR by internal customer).

Respond to and resolve problems with individual CCR based on Verizon’s Quality of Service performance reporting (daily, weekly, and monthly).

What we’re looking for You’ll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

A degree.

Five or more years project management driving cross-functional teams.

PMP certification.

Effective interpersonal and team building capabilities.

Strong project planning and time management.

Excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.

Ability to influence organizational direction and initiatives across all leadership levels.

Experience with SRM/SAP as well as expense and/or capital budgets.

Excellent problem solving skills.

Knowledge and experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project, and the Clarity Software Application suite.

Strong competency in Telecommunications technologies, networks and business processes.

Track record of leading multiple complex projects to successful completion.
