Responsibilities

The Marketing department at State Farm has an opening for a Marketing Analyst within the Branding & Acquisition division.

The Marketing Analyst position is ultimately responsible for driving core product growth. The opening is located in the following function:
  • Our

    Strategy function is tasked with building the foundational marketing strategies to drive brand and auto/home growth. It defines the business opportunities and the targeting roadmap to fuel executional marketing plans and is responsible for understanding Marketing's impact to business results.

The position works within an agile team environment to execute integrated marketing efforts across primarily digital and social channels. Specifically, this role will be focused on engaging our brand in topical conversations and cultural moments to build talk value for our brand in of-the moment, always-on ways that drive consideration through brand reputation.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop, consume, monitor, and/or evolve holistic branding and marketing strategies, inclusive of targeting analyses
  • Contribute to assignment briefs to set strategic expectations and creative objectives for business partners and creative/media agencies
  • Ensure in-market executional alignment to strategic direction and creative objectives
  • Work with internal business partners and external organizations to develop and monitor performance measurement framework
  • Collaborate on creative testing/research, learning, and insight-based recommendations throughout creative development process
  • Contribute to planning and execution of tactics across channels
  • Responsible for optimizing programs and tactics to maximize budgets and objectives
  • Communicate to team and management on project development, timelines, and results

Qualifications

Skills/Experiences:
  • Previous experience in brand and/or marketing strategy development
  • Strong strategic mindset coupled with attention to detail
  • Understanding of brand and marketing performance and effectiveness measurements
  • Ability to consume research, connect seemingly disparate data points, and draw meaningful insights
  • Understanding of analytic and storytelling approaches, and skilled at communicating across all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple, overlapping projects
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across teams, departments, peers, and various levels of leadership
  • A proven track record of driving strategic direction in aligned and actionable ways
  • Experience working with creative and media agencies
  • Comfort working in an agile environment
  • Marketing/Advertising degree preferred, 2+ years marketing experience needed

Additional Details:
