US Tech Solutions is seeking an “TABLEAU ADMIN” for a 12 months contract position with a client in Richardson, TX Job Poster: Sheraz Durrani – Title: Tableau AdminWork Location: Richardson, TX,Duration: 12 Months Contract – This position is a Contract role- Description:· We are looking for a Tableau admin to play a key role in the support of the company’s server.· The process includes adding user access, creating sites to the Tableau server as part of a global team.· The ability to apply technical knowledge and soft skills to determine how to handle ServiceNow Requests and Incidents is necessary.· Support personnel must know how to ask questions and what questions to ask if complete information is not provided in the Request.· Make judgment calls based on knowledge of the process to ensure security concerns are addressedJob Responsibilities· The major requirement for this role is to assist our Server Administration team in day-to-day Admin tasks, handling ServiceNow requests and incidents in accordance with SLA times, troubleshooting workbooks and data sources for performance issues.· Assisting with upgrades and changes to production in a multi-node high availability server platform on a Windows Server environment.· The candidate will also need to work with REST API, PostgreSQL, and Python3 to develop scripts for the automation of manual processes.· Degree qualified· 3+ years’ experience in Tableau Server Admin (2020+)· Experience with Create/Manage Groups, Users, Workbooks and Projects, Database Views, Data Sources, and Data Connections· Add/Edit Sites and corresponding administration rights (System vs. Content)· Good understanding of tableau server license mechanism· Experience with Tableau backup and restore· Ability to deploy the reports in various environments· Experience with reading through Tableau logs to work through problems finding root causes and rectifying them.· Experience with alternative authentication providers such as Active Directory.· Installation, Upgrade, maintenance, and support of all Tableau components.· Respond to and resolve tickets on technical issues related to Tableau Platform within defined SLAs.· Co-ordinate with Tableau Support for any unresolved issues and tool-specific issues or hotfixes/patches.· Responsible for Monitoring, reporting, and controlling Tableau server usage.· Deep level troubleshooting includes RCA.· Identifying problems in advance and looking for continuous service improvements.· Participate in problem management and come up with trend analysis on recurring incidents.· Creation and maintenance of system documentation related to the Tableau environment.· Experienced in sizing & setting up Tableau environment for High Availability & Disaster recovery environment· Experienced working with network & other teams setting up Load Balancers, SSL security· Strong communication and organizational skills.· Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute on assigned deliverables.· Provide on-call support· Good working knowledge of the following:· PostgreSQL· Tableau Workbook design best practices· ServiceNow· Outlook· Microsoft OfficeWork experience· 3+ years of experience.Education· Bachelor’s degree or EquivalentU.S. Tech Solutions, Inc. is an Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity Employer.
