Enterprise Technology is searching for a Software Developer to join Business Lines Modernization product team, where the focus is on owning and managing Activity and Agreement event messages that are triggered based on certain actions within policy transactions.

This is a remarkable opportunity for a passionate software development professional who has excellent technical and communication skills, solution provider mindset and thrives when given new challenges.

The individual will lead and drive quality software development by engaging in forward thinking detailed design discussions & solutions, influencing the use of best practices while leveraging continuous delivery frameworks. The successful candidate will effectively collaborate with business and technology partners and across products/product suites at multiple levels.

What you can expect:
  • Applies an expert understanding of development tools, processes, applications, programming languages and environments to assignments
  • Designs and develops full-stack applications using industry-adopted languages and frameworks
  • Enables solution modernization activities through design and development-related work items and architectural engagement
  • Provides highest level of support for problem and issue resolution and provides technical consultation and direction to business and product team members
  • May act as a product owner
  • Leads strategic work across the product suite and utilizes application architecture to increase efficiency and effectiveness of complex issues
  • Champion and provide guidance with an innovative mind set to deliver product solutions
  • Influences and provides direction on product development practices, coding, data and testing standards, code reviews and software architecture
  • Conducts research and integrate industry best practices into processes and potential solutions
  • Drives, coordinates and delegates work of other product team members
  • Drives required product testing practices and solutions to ensure product quality

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who have the following experience:
  • Working with Java, C#, or C (3-5 years)
  • Experience in object-oriented programming
  • Experience with JavaScript, GIT, AWS
  • With API web service development
  • Experience working within Spring Framework
  • Webservices (REST/SOAP, client/server), JMS, database queries and optimization, plugins, workflows
  • Software delivery life cycle experience (including performance, acceptance testing, production support)
  • Understanding of CI/CD tools and practices
  • Ability to convey complex design and architectural concepts to nontechnical audiences
  • Demonstrated experience working across technical domains/platforms

Preferred Qualifications but optional:
  • Guidewire Integration framework
  • Gosu language
