Research Assistants serve to support faculty with their research. In addition to providing financial support to graduate students, the position of RA provides the opportunity for mentoring by faculty as students learn how to conduct research by participating in actual research projects. RAs are assigned to specific research projects and will work directly with the faculty who are conducting those projects.Research Assistants’ work time should be spent on research-related work. Duties will vary depending on the project and assigned research/scholarly functions, or other creative aspects.
