This exciting long-term temporary opportunity is set in an engaging work place where hard work is rewarded. As Staff Accountant, your duties will include preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. A very involved position, this role produces Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility during the monthly close. Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner
Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Play a role in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Manage capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Carry out month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management
Requirements
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Vow to meet business deadlines
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Deep understanding of account reconciliation
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Month end closings experience desired
Foundational knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)
Command of journal entries
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Proficient in ERP systems
Recent and relevant accounting experience
