DescriptionA manufacturing company located in Rosenberg is seeking a Staff Accountant on a contract to full time basis. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of accounting experience, a degree in Accounting is preferred but not required. You will be responsible for bank reconciliations, G/L account reconciliations, month end close duties, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting support as needed. Must have experience with debits and credit. Mas 90 or Mas 200 software experience is a bonus. As an added benefit a flexible work schedule is offered. Contribute to Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt
Aid Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Post financial figures to journals and ledgers
Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Categorize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
Requirements
At least 4 years of accounting experience
Experience with some type of ERP system
Experience working with debits/credits
