- Perform power system studies including short circuit, arc-flash and protective device coordination. This will include on-site data collection for all electrical equipment at the facility. SKM and ETAP experience is preferable.
- Perform power quality studies analysis.
- Understand basics for SELs, GE Multilin, and Beckwith relays.
- Design protection schemes including transformer, feeder, motor, generator, and load transfer schemes.
- Work with vendors to specify proper equipment
- Develop demo and construction drawings for various protection and controls systems
- Travel to jobsites in a company provided vehicle across the state.
- Review, interpret and understand customer electrical one lines.
- Mentor other engineers.
- Work with field service NETA testing technicians.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a top ABET accredited school.
- FE or EIT certification desirable
- Protection relay experience preferred
- PE preferred
- Arc Flash, power system studies experience preferred
- Strong Electrical power theory
- Strong computer skills
- Must be comfortable with and have ability to work independently
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check

- Must be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam
- Must have a valid driver's license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record
- Must be available for occasional overnight domestic travel.
- U.S. passport & TWIC card a plus
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime, and occasional weekends, holidays and nights.
