We can’t wait for you to discover this for yourself as a Senior Manager, Software Quality Engineering on our Dell Services team in Round Rock, TX.Summary:Directs the efforts of others within Global Configuration Services, responsible for the software quality assurance & validation of hardware & software systems, and broader solutions to support the design and development of systems, applications, appliances, tools & technology, and processes. Will develop, drive, and manage test and automation strategies, staffing resources, development, and testing efforts to support Business Operations, Strategy, Offers, and Transformation. Will develop Test and Automation Strategies & the Quality Standards for GCS products and oversee the development and execution of software test plans and analysis of test results. Will focus on Transformation and Automation to drive significant Business Productivity Improvements aligned to Strategic Goals.Key Responsibilities

Manage & Develop a hi-performance engineering team to achieve the strategic and operational objectives of the team/org.

Develops resource plans to support development activities across multiple programs.

Works closely with Product Development, Product Management, & PMO leadership to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction by providing cross functional leadership across development teams.

Develops and implements SQA best practices and process improvements throughout the organization – driving Automation and Productivity Improvements.

Provides Executive leadership with High Level Test Strategies, Automation Strategies and operational metrics.

Oversees the execution and reports the results of product validation on new hardware, software, and solutions products.

Drive Transformation and Automation to deliver significant Business Productivity Improvements aligned to Strategic Goals.

Essential Requirements

Typically requires 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Typically requires 4+ years managerial/leadership experience

Advanced understanding of quality tools, data, and processes and can use those tools to influence design decisions and improvements across LOBs or Development teams.

Advanced understanding of Software/Hardware Test Methodologies and Test Strategies.

Proven understanding of hardware and software system architecture, interactions, with ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues.

Demonstrated practice of managing a global team, supporting a global business, while working on abstract and complex problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables.

Strong Knowledge in Development Methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Waterfall, Pivotal, etc.

Desirable Requirements

Certification(s) in Agile, Six Sigma, SCRUM, Pivotal, Security,

Advanced disciplinary knowledge that leverages business acumen and subject matter expertise.

Strong command skills to drive the implementation and execution of programs and initiatives

Strong Relationship Building skills and Collaboration Skills.

Strong understanding of the GCS business model, tools, technology, process, offers, etc.

Thorough understanding and management of customer business needs and expectations.

Experience managing and driving complex projects.

Anticipates operational, program, and implementation issues and develops preventative measures.
