The Commissioning Engineer will provide commissioning and coordinate the installation of electrical control and automation systems for typical solutions in the security industry. The incumbent will lead the commissioning responsibilities and finalize the delivery of security systems within the established targets. Interface and coordinate with the customers, subcontractors, and other internal resources for scheduling. Responsible for managing and prioritizing multiple projects at the same time.

This position will work closely with Customers, Project Engineers, Subcontractors, Service, Sales, and other Internal Departments.

Position Responsibilities: Ability to complete a startup without additional assistance Take ownership of assigned projects Verify quality of designs and software Ability to manage subcontractors on large projects Coordinate project activities with appropriate parties internally and externally Direct customer, subcontractor, internal resource communications Coordinate multiple simultaneous projects Perform minor tweaks of software functions Assist with prototyping projects Perform training as required on implemented control systems Create O&M documents upon completion of a project Require minimal assistance/supervision from PEM Consistently maintain positive budgets on assigned project functions Perform all work in a manner consistent with policies, procedures, and standards Assist with projects outside of current assignments Travel target 75% Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+years of commissioning experience in control systems
Preferred Associate degree preferred Skills or experience with personal computers, including electronic E-mail, personal scheduling, word processing, and electronic spreadsheet Knowledge of networks and networking Knowledge of current and past Windows OS Experience with AutoCAD Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Office Suites Knowledge of PC configuration and peripherals Ability to be creative and resourceful in obtaining solutions to uncommon applications A valid state driver's license, without restrictions, is required for this position Ability to effectively work independently or in a team atmosphere Proficient time Management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities is required A strong customer service orientation is required Desire to work in a very "hands-on" environment
