Electric Meter Inventory Store Coordinator

Inventory Coordinator - Electric Meter inventory management, meter issue, meter purchasing, coordinating in shipping and receiving meters Responsible for the inventory control and testing of all electric meters as well as all associated metering material and electric meter equipment setup and maintenance. Ability to read, probe, maintain and install electric meters in the field.

• Tech will be responsible for the handling of all electric meters in the shop and in the field.
• This includes receiving and sample testing of all meters and associated material received by Client as well as maintenance and installation of single phase, self-contained.
• The employees will be responsible for meter status updates within the SAP system as well as day today handling and processing of newly purchased electric meters including old electric meters that have been removed from the field.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Works in an energized environment while utilizing all assigned clients safety equipment.
• Exposure to hazardous environments to include: rough terrain, dangerous animals, obstacles and irate customers.
• Team member will be responsible for the handling and receiving of all electric meters received by Clients
• Team member will be responsible for day to day handling and processing of newly purchased electric meters as well as old electric meters that have been removed from the field.
• He/ She will be responsible for issuing meters to field personal as well as assisting in the accurate inventory of all electrical meters maintained in the Electric Meter Operation's inventory.
• He/ She will be responsible for cleaning and refurbishing of electric meters in preparation for testing.
• Forklift certification and experience preferred.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Meet an entry assessment in order to progress through the levels.
• Experience with electric meters
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License

• Ability to operate hand and power tools and electrical test equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.
• Must have favorable driving record
• Knowledge of SAP

• Shop, lab, and field environments.
• Hazardous conditions - high voltage, explosive gases, heights, basements, construction sites, high heat, cold, wet, dirty, and noisy environments, airborne particles.
• Work is performed both indoor and outdoor field environment.
• Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, cell phone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
• There is possible exposure to extreme working conditions to include hot, cold, humid and wet weather.
• Employee is exposed to electric devices and hazards and clients Safety Procedures are to be followed and taken very seriously. After hours work may be required.

• Must be able to lift, move, and carry equipment weigh 55 pounds, with or without accommodation on a regular basis.
• Must be able to properly identify and distinguish between colors.
• Eye/ hand coordination, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, sitting, lifting, and carrying, kneeling, crouching, crawling, stooping, and repetitive motions.
