Job Description
The Host staff will create the first and last impressions of the experience for guests as they are greeted and seated. The Host is responsible for maintaining an arranged work area and assisting with other staff positions. You'll inject your personality every moment you’re with our guests so that they love to come back time and time again.
Salary range: $38000 - $48000 per year.
Responsibilities:- Greets customers and guests promptly and provides timely seating of guests by maintaining accurate waitlists, while maximizing seating capacity.
- Create and maintain a pleasant ambiance in the work area through lighting, music, and table placement.
- Stabilize the guest flow among the service stations, taking into account requests for a particular table or server depending on availability.
- Converse with customers and guests in an outgoing and friendly manner.
- Maintain calmness, professionalism, and courteous at all times.
- Informs guests when tables are ready, escort them to the table and provides menus, and introduces the server.
- Assist the service staff as needed, adhering to the standards of service.
- Communicate accurate setup, along with special requests and birthday information, to the restaurant team.
- Professionally manages large crowds and can resolve challenging service situations tactfully.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work a telephone system.
- Computer skills, including restaurant reservation, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and use of essential office equipment (copiers/fax), preferred.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Experience as a restaurant host, hotel concierge, or related customer service position preferred.
- Previous experience in the service industry preferred.
