Job Description

The Opportunity

In this role, the IT Technical Support Coordinator (IT TSC) will provide technical and administrative support, and report to the KTX Director, IT Support Services. They will maintain ticketing systems and manage customer data. They provide technical support to customers as well, especially if there are complicated issues that more junior technicians cannot resolve. In addition to their organizational skills, they also need considerable technical knowledge as they will provide some Tier 1 technical support when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Accountabilities

The IT Technical Support Coordinator will:

  • Communicate with team members at various levels to accomplish daily tasks
  • Delegate tasks appropriately
  • Complete required documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Monitor progress toward shared and individual projects
  • Develop work schedules for projects and teams
  • Organize processes and resources to support effective collaboration
  • Communicate a manager's decisions and instructions to a team
  • Assist in coordinating resource logistics
  • Answer questions about scheduling
  • Evaluate information to help support a manager's decision-making process
  • Provide Tier 1 support
  • Work closely with the IT team manage and assign staff and student technology

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a collaborative cross functional environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts and issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to scope, budget and timeline.
  • High level of understanding of the Information Technology field
  • Ability to organize, plan and carry out complex assignments
  • Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines and firm schedules
  • Ability to effectively express KIPP’s mission and purpose to candidates
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy required
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Strong typing skills are required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Proficiency using computers, printers, and copy machines

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • 2 years of experience
  • High School Diploma

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Associates Degree in technology related field, preferred
  • Experience working in a school district, CMO, non-profit or government agency is a plus.
