Find your future with us.The selected candidate will work on a team which is responsible for the design, fielding and support of all mechanical and electrical support equipment (SE) for the C-17 aircraft. The team ensures that any new SE requirements are implemented (design, fabrication, fielding), and that all existing SE in the field is maintained as needed and that all required quantities of every item are available at all sites worldwide. This involves defining requirements, performing design and releasing drawings, coordinating with suppliers, field customers and equipment custodians as well as other Boeing engineers, supplier management, configuration management and technical publications. This particular position would be focused on performing and releasing drawings, working on design of mechanical SE and eventually taking on leadership of SE-related projects.Position Responsibilities:Analyze and translate requirements into Support Equipment hardware designs and interface specifications

Address Air force customer inquiries and obsolescence concerns

Evaluate SE designs and ensure they meet operational and functional requirements

Support fielded hardware over the entire product lifecycle

Perform engineering drawings using tools such as NX and IPDM

Security Clearance:This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace

3+ years of experience in engineering design and/or analysis

3+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience working on military aircraft

Experience using IPDM

Experience working with Siemens NX

Experience in mechanical design and analysis

Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.Hybrid/Telecommute:This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
