Job Description: Title: SharePoint Developer

Location: San Antonio, TX. Hybrid Schedule

Duration: 1 year contract, potential to extend

JOB DESCRIPTION

Ability to deliver creative, customized solutions to support modernization and automation efforts for energy company. Expertise with migration efforts from SharePoint on-premise to SharePoint Online (SPO). Experience working with analysts developing projects, visual designs; to include utilizing other business resources toward improving business productivity and support operations

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing, configuring, and customizing MS SharePoint applications to support automating existing business processes, developing new and maintaining existing sites, content, and resources to include extending SharePoint functionality with forms, web parts, and application technologies

• Define, architect, implement, and maintain solutions within the SharePoint on-premise and online platforms; to include development of complex workflows using both out of the box and custom coding

• Design, develop, test, debug, and implement new scalable web components

• Work closely with end users and Business Process Improvement experts to develop, validate and document website and application requirements

• Support Agile PM processes for planning and prioritizing development tasks

• Provide monitoring and issue resolution support the Service Desk Support Team

• Interact directly with clients to ensure customer success to include training to staff and customers

Routine:

• Contribute to requirements gathering and analysis activities such as storyboarding, developing use cases, and creating functional requirements specifications

• Contribute to creating feature specifications and technical design blueprints

• Architect and maintain integrations with other external capabilities

• Develop custom features in Visual Studio based on specifications and technical designs

• Create server-side functionality using design principles

• Take responsibility for feature-focused unit and system testing

• Contribute to user acceptance testing procedures and monitoring results

• Contribute to performance and load testing procedures and issue remediation thru ticketing system requests

Required:

• Working, hands-on experience with SharePoint on-premise and SharePoint Online; to include SharePoint Designer to include creating custom workflow solutions, and PowerApps / Power Automate (M365 Suite of Products)

• Experience in migrating from SP 2016 to SPO for knowledge sharing initiatives

• Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments

• Experience developing & deploying business applications using custom SharePoint solutions or leveraging out-of-the-box features and functionalities

• Create rich web user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Rest API, PowerApps, Power BI, & Power Automate (formally known as Flow)

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of web parts, permissions, site collections, lists, libraries, apps, modern pages, custom search, managed metadata

Preferred:

• Experience with public sector clients

• Experience with Agile methodology

• Proven experience as a SharePoint Developer

• JavaScript frameworks as well as server-side JavaScript (node, V8)

• Understanding of Big Data functions and the application of functions (Mapping, Shuffling, Reducing)

• Familiarity with Automation and Testing (unit, file transfer, integration, usability)

• Experience with HTML/5, CSS, JavaScript, and developing a cross-browser compatible website

• Knowledge of operational characteristics of various computer systems, applications, peripheral equipment, multiple operating systems, and platforms

• Knowledge of data modeling, database design and administration

• Knowledge of database systems, relational and other structures, and system architecture

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, information systems or a related field and Two (2) years of experience in software development, application or systems programming or related position

• Four (4) years of experience in application and integration development using with C#, C, .Net and Python

• Any work-related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above specified education and experience requirements
