The Receptionist/Greeter is responsible for meeting and greeting customers as they enter the body shop. By presenting a professional appearance and a cordial, businesslike presence, this person becomes for the customer the strong, positive first impression of the body shop. The Receptionist/Greeter projects this same presence on the phone when customers call the body shop. In addition this person, because of a thorough understanding of the body shop, knows to whom to route incoming calls and is accurate in taking messages when calls cannot be routed to the appropriate person. In the role of Greeter, this person keeps track of traffic flow within the body shop and documents where and to whom the customers coming in for estimates are being referred to.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
To meet and greet customers with courtesy and efficiency.
To make a friendly and appropriate appearance, as the initial contact with the body shop
To engage customers to find out their needs, and to appropriately route them within the shop
Use of appropriate telephone techniques and etiquette
To answer customer's questions on the phone or to refer callers to the appropriate departments
when the need should arise
To write clearly and legibly, and to listen and record information accurately
To file paperwork according to body shop procedures (receipts & folders)
To operate fax machine, scanners and to do word processing, and provide backup support to clerical staff when
needed.
All other duties as assigned
