Position SummaryHybrid - Telework and OnsiteDTSI is seeking a

Software Test Specialist to write and execute manual and automated scripts for the development and sustainment of USAF Human Resource Information Systems (HRSTS). As Software Test Specialist you will be part of a Sprint team that contributes to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for the sustainment and advancement of enterprise-wide applications.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met
  • Develop, maintain and upgrade test scripts and architectures for application products
  • Write, implement and report status for system test cases for testing based on system design specifications
  • Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports
  • Serve as subject matter specialist providing testing know-how for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications
  • Ensure documentation is updated based on the new user requirements
  • Direct and/or participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement automated test tools and strategies
  • Design, document and execute test plans and test cases

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Software Testing experience
  • Proven success of Testing and Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Proven success interacting and interfacing with Customers and Senior Leadership
  • Proven ability to meet/exceed expectations independently with little supervision

Desired Qualifications
  • Proficient in common programming and scripting languages such as Microsoft .NET Framework, JavaScript, or Oracle
  • Experience working in Department of Defense (DoD) Environment
  • Experience working in a Virtual Environment

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
