Local Retail Operation seeks entry level Tech Support for small chain of stores. We have a small department that you would gain on-hand training in many different areas that you might not be an expert in. We believe that if you can fix one thing well, you can be taught to fix almost anything.

We are looking for an individual that has some knowledge with electronics to train to be able to fix all things electronics.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

IT support relating to technical issues including Point of Sale, Hardware, software, Audio Visual, Telephone, LAN and WAN. Responds to technical support requests and resolve issues. Diagnose and resolve problems with LAN hardware and software.

Installs, maintains, relocates, and removes computer hardware devices including personal computers and peripheral devices including but not limited to Point of Sale, printers, scanners, and wireless access points.

Installs, configures, supports and removes personal computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Windows 7\10 Office, Exchange, Anti-Virus, Accounting software

Troubleshoot user issues with desktops, laptops, phones, televisions, sound systems, and mobile equipment.

Provides technical support to all operations within the company and offsite locations.

Perform other duties as assigned

Skills Required:

First and foremost ability to fix electronic items and the ability to learn.

Ability to quickly triage, organize and prioritize multiple issues based on severity and impact.

Consistent, positive attitude and respect for high quality standards

Requires the ability to understand, recall and apply numerous guidelines and procedures

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Highly self-motivated and directed, actively volunteers for various projects, tasks and assignments

Ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced changing environment - multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner

Computer Equipment and Level of Software Knowledge:

Some experience providing some level of technology support “ even if it is for your friends & family

Experience troubleshooting end user issues with Microsoft Windows 7/10, Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite

Experience in a user support environment for Level 1 tasks (password resets, lockouts, new user setup, etc.)

Experience supporting Printers (networked and locally attached) including toner and supplies management, troubleshooting, etc.

Support of remote staff and troubleshooting connectivity issues (VPN, Wi-Fi, Mobile Devices, etc.)

Education and Experience Required:

Requires minimum 1-2 years related work experience in a similar role.

Or personal hands on experience with fixing your own printers, computers, televisions, electronics, etc.

More Information about the job

Initial pay of $14/hour. You should be able to get around 40 hours every week with occassional overtime if there are larger problems. We provide Obamacare and you may participate in our standard health care. You would receive 2 weeks paid vacation per year.

You will be doing a variety of tasks, some dirty, some boring, some entertaining.

Hours are flexible within limits and depends on the repair/installation schedules, however, schedule can be totally flexible provided the work gets done timely.

We expect everyone to work constantly in a focused manner to produce as much work as possible with minimal errors. We select people that we think can do this.

We prefer non-smokers as smoke breaks are not permitted.
