COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT
Job Title: Superintendent
Reports to: Project Manager
FLSA: Exempt
SUMMARY The Superintendent will manage the field operations of the project. Controlling assigned scope of work, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality control, sub-contractor and supplier coordination.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School and completion of Vocational School a plus, Associates Degree preferred Valid drivers license and meet companys auto insurance requirements.
- Minimum of three years related experience or equivalent role in commercial construction
- Adhere to and enforce all company policies and procedures
- Ability to use construction management software
- Effective listening, written and oral communication skills
- Assist in weekly sub-contractor coordination meetings
- Understand building plans and specifications
- Complete Daily Reporting
- Works well without close supervision
- Team player with field supervision, project management, and company administration staff Safety standards knowledge and enforcement
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective under time pressure situations
- Self-Starter with ability to set goals and tasks with strong leadership skills
Must be physically and mentally able to successfully accomplish the essential tasks of the superintendent role with or without reasonable accommodation.
Travel is required to job sites and the local office. Projects are located in the San Antonio vicinity. A valid drivers license and proof of insurance is required.
