We currently have an opening for a team-oriented technician with experience installing and servicing electronic security systems. You will be responsible for providing installation and maintenance service at commercial and residential job-sites, new and post installation.
Position Description:
Install intrusion, CCTV and access control security systems.
Run cabling, mount equipment, install card readers, door contacts, mag locks, strikes and integrated systems, etc.
Run electrical wiring through conduit, in confined spaces, in trenches and in aerial runs.
Assemble and install access control panels, power supplies, cable pathways system and various cable that includes, but is not limited to, UTP and STP cat 5/6 cable, low voltage cable and coax.
Complete all wiring, connections, terminations and equipment installations, ensuring that security systems are complete, to customer satisfaction and contractual requirements.
Assists and interfaces with the Project Manager regarding project planning, scheduling, monitoring and quality assurance
Work with the project manager to resolve all discrepancies, and coordination problems that impair installation activities
Ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational and installed per manufacturer recommendations and per any local or NEC code that applies
Present a professional image
Perform work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.
Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations and assists with contract retention.
Education/Experience:
2 or more years experience installing and/or servicing intrusion, CCTV and access control security systems.
General understanding of Network Topology.
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Vocational/Technical training in electrical, security, or computer systems preferred
-NICET Certification preferred
-IP Video and IT experience preferred
-Climb ladders that extend up to 30 ft. in height
-Carry items up to 80 pounds
-Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis covering after hours & weekend emergency calls.
-A valid state drivers license, without restrictions, is required.
