Austin Recovery provides compassionate and effective drug and alcohol treatment since 1967. We are seeking for a dedicated Daycare Center Teacher for our organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Visually Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care
Organize mealtimes and snacks for children
Help children keep good hygiene
Change the diapers of infants and toddlers
Organize activities
Develop schedules and routines to ensure that children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime
Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring the problems to the attention of parents
Follows all DFPS minimum standards
Plan and implement age appropriate lesson plans.
Ensure equipment & facility is clean and well maintained at all times
Must complete and attend all trainings
Be familiar with all emergency codes
Must have a total of 24 hours of childcare training yearly
All other assigned duties by the Daycare Center Manager
Qualifications and Skills
Must be detailed oriented with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have First Aid and CPR certification
Professional, pleasant and customer service oriented, able to develop rapport quickly.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and preferred.
A valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
1 year experience working in a licensed child care center

None.

Daycare Center Manager
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Communicates orally with clients, co-workers and the public in face-to-face, one on one, families/group, over the phone, and in electronic formats.
Physical stamina, working with infants and toddlers, to include, walking, lifting, and carrying.
Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
Uses hands and fingers, to handle, and feel as well as arms to reach.
Occasionally required to stand and walk.
Must be able to lift 35 pounds
