Job Title: Mental Health Associate (Full-Time)

Work Location: Childrens Crisis Respite Care Home

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Mental Health Associate is responsible for providing constant supervision and ensuring safety of children and adolescents receiving therapeutic crisis respite services in a home based center environment at all times. Assures program schedule is consistently implemented including conducting scheduled therapeutic recreational activities. Consistently and accurately writes clinical and administrative documentation as directed. Implements patient treatment plan strategies as directed by clinical protocols and under the supervision of clinical staff. Continually communicates with co-workers, supervisors and other staff regarding patient care and safety. Safely and consistently manages difficult behaviors of the youth in care. Provides transportation if necessary. Monitors and documents medication administration assistance. The person in this position serves as a role model for all youth in regards to appearance, interaction, problem solving methodology, personal accountability and demonstration of respect for others, self and property. This program continues to evolve; duties and responsibilities may change over time. Work Schedule - Tuesday - Saturday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. / Evening, night and on-call coverage may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

-High School Diploma / GED

-Valid Texas Driver's License

-Current Automobile Insurance

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with children who experience emotional / behavioral disturbances and / or experience in the mental health field.
