Wiley Contracting is a locally owned, growing construction company with a proven track record for safety and quality that position us to work with the nation's major wireless carriers, tower owners, and technology providers. We are looking for a crew of efficient, safety-minded ground hands to join our team. We have long-term work available for the right candidate. Applicants should have some construction industry experience and access to reliable transportation. Laborers with special skills, such as fencing experience or a CDL are in especially high demand. We offer a consistent work schedule, competitive pay and insurance. The ideal candidate will be capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security.
Duties and responsibilities:
Assist on overall job including ground work and all tasks required to build and install a site per customer specs Maintain safe work environment
Assist with overall crew work
Dig pits, trenches and foundations in preparation for job site construction
Back-fill trenches and pits when necessary
Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
Load or unload construction materials
Perform site clean-up
Maintenance of vehicles and equipment as necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to work in a team environment on the crew and be a valued member of the team and the company.
Communicate in person, by phone and radio with supervisor, foreman and co-workers
Must be punctual and reliable.
Must have valid drivers license
Physical Demands:
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50
lbs. including body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
Must be willing to travel
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather
Comfort working in high-stress environment
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with some overtime requirements and out of town work.
