Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
Knowledge in: Pipe fitting.
Knowledge of: Basic steam theory.
Ability to: Work with various hand tools used in pipe fitting.
Ability to: Rebuild pumps.
Ability to: Insulate pipe and fittings.
Ability to: Work under strenuous conditions.
Ability to: Perform basic math.
Skill in: Reading and writing.
Skill in: Work as a team member and interacting with the public.
Skill in: Working with computer software.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
TCEQ Class D License within 1 year; or Class C within two years.
TDH - Asbestos Worker License within 1 year.
Ability to be on call; work outside of normal working hours (including holidays); work special events.
Job Description
Responsible for operating and maintaining all steam, condensate, potable water systems, and associated equipment.
Job Duties
Install new steam and condensate piping systems and all associated equipment.
Rebuild and repair pumps and motors
Remove asbestos and encapsulate exposed areas.
Check University and Freeman Ranch water wells.
Fill out time sheets on computer and complete work orders.
Collect water samples.
Perform other duties as assigned.
