Summary of Position: Provides office support to all patients within your case management coordination load. Show exemplary skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and many other programs. Coordinate with different departments to the company standards of workmanship to ensure all patient care is handled. Communicate with all parties involved with a patient to promote unity and provide higher satisfaction. Meet all deadlines weekly without complaint and ensure all is handled.

  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities These include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Submit documents to parents and physician for signature

  • Submit documents to Medicaid insurance for authorization in a timely manner

  • Make phone calls to Medicaid insurance, MD, nurses, and/or parents as necessary to follow up or clarify paperwork

  • Documentation of daily progress on all submissions

  • Scan and upload to EMR anything for your patients

  • Help handle all aspects of patient care

    • Record requests

    • Complaints

    • Conflicts

  • Receive “other” paperwork that comes in and give to CM to review

    • Plan of care

    • Authorizations

  • Demonstrates team work and effective communications to accomplish client, team and Facility goals.

    • Help the case manager when available in all aspects needed

  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

III. Education and Experience Specifications:

o Current Texas Driver’s License, good driving record, and reliable transportation, valid and current auto liability insurance.

o Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office, MS Excel and Scheduling program.

o Interpersonal, organizational and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

o Ability to carry out and understand written and oral directions, to read and write.

o Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.

Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the agency.
