Partner with the best

As a Microbiologist for Upstream Chemicals, you will be working with production chemicals in both, laboratory and oilfield settings. You will be engaging with our customers in the field to identify improvements. You will be part of a fast-moving team that is developing the future of our chemical products.

As an Application Engineer on Microbial Control for Upstream Chemicals, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting laboratory experimentations for biocide products development, evaluation of product efficacy , and testing of oil and water samples to support projects
  • Collaborating with the internal and external customers to establish the best chemical solutions to meet their requirements
  • Conducting original research and development work in the field of microbiology to test new designs and develop new products
  • Providing technical product support and service to our customers in the field and provide optimized solutions
  • Analyzing data and communicate results through presentation and documentation to various groups and customers
  • Travel to the field to implement solutions and recommendations

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in a related field of microbiology and microbial control and experience in chemistry, chemical engineering or similar
  • Have knowledge and hands-on experience in molecular biology
  • Be willing to travel into the oilfield for testing and customer support
  • Be a good, motivated team player that enjoys collaborating to solve problems and identify solutions
  • Be able to simultaneously manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with fluency in written and verbal English
