Chemical Operator – Temple, TXImmediate Job OpeningsKelly Scientific Resources is currently seeking Chemical Operators for one of our top clients in Temple, TX.As a Chemical Operator, you will oversee and execute production processes and standards to ensure quality, safety and productivity requirements.Main Responsibilities:
Maintain operating procedures and review for accuracy
Oversee Control Room operations, Process monitoring and activities
Responsible for minor maintenance, preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and process improvement
Responsible for raw material unloading activities
Submit inventory report of raw materials and safety supplies to Site Manager
Responsible for receiving shipments and completing appropriate documentation
Assist in additional Production activities as necessary
Assist with warehouse monthly inventory counts
Report plant status, production quantities, product quality and other information concisely and accurately at shift handover
Assist in training and cross training of operators
Participate in Process Safety Management programs
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Working knowledge of chemical process equipment (pumps, agitators, valves, etc.)
Must be able to operate, maintain and improve the performance of the equipment within the operating area of responsibility
Understanding and awareness of chemicals and their nature, hazards, safety and health issues, etc. (SDS, use of PPE, etc.)
Must be willing to learn the required competencies to ensure success
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
