This will help us understand the things that you do better than others - the talents that you rely on to succeed.This position is responsible for maintaining optimum asset health for all plant equipment, systems, and structures by performing inspections, repairs and modifications to equipment and structures of feed facility.Responsibilities include:
Perform maintenance work in area of expertise in electrical and mechanical
Perform routine plant maintenance.
Perform preventative maintenance.
Maintain maintenance records and assist in plant production as needed.
Safety - responsible for safety of themselves and teammates.
Wear respirator and required safety equipment.
This is a 2nd shift position – 4 pm to 12 amQualificationsRequirements:
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a plant environment.
Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.
Ability to work in elevated areas.
Must be able to operate machinery.
Must be able to read/comprehend English.
Basic computer skills.
At least (2 years) of experience in maintenance related work.
Preferred:
Forklift certified.
High School degree or equivalent.
Experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Ops) and/or MRP (Material Requirement Planning).
Knowledgeable on maintenance trades including:
Electrical,
gearbox and bearing maintenance,
lubrication, mechanical maintenance,
h ydraulic and pneumatic systems.
m achinist,
rigging systems,
welding,
pipe fitting,
fabrication and pumps and piping systems,
hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
