Serves as the liaison between the Office of AcademicAffairs and Student Services and department and regional campus coordinating, admissions,and advising staff.

Serves as the main staff advisor for certificate, non-degree-seeking,and dual degree students at the Houston campus.

Serves as the central staff advisor for all studentsacross all campuses

Coordinates and administratively supports theadvising and related processes for various academic programs.

Provides advising information and support (e.g.,course selection, registration, academic policies and procedures, thedevelopment of student degree plans, etc.) to students throughout the academicyear.

Analyzes data to track student progression andsuccess.

Conducts individual and group advising sessions.

Manages and maintains websites and other materials(e.g., forms, promotional materials, etc.) relevant to student affairs,academic advising, and dual degree programs.

Serves as the UTHealth School of Public Healthliaison and manages all processes regarding the UTHealth Alpha Iota chapter ofthe Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health.

Other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail, skilled multi-tasking ability, demonstrated commitment to follow-through of assigned tasks and projects, and exceptional customer services skills. Excellent computer skills including facility with Microsoft Office Suite and database management.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in related field with three (3) years of related experience; experience in advising or Student Affairs in a University setting preferred; or

Master’s degree in related field with one (1) year of related experience; experience in advising or Student Affairs in a University setting preferred.

Minimum Experience:

Years of experience varies based on education level.
