Oversees the design, direction, and support of academic and administrative program reviews and related activities that demonstrate educational effectiveness.Position Key Accountabilities :

Oversees the school’s curriculum management plan and delivery of its curriculum.

Develops and oversees a coordinated process for measurement of student learning outcomes across all academic programs, schools and departments consistent with the expectations of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

Plans and offers appropriate development related to assessment of student learning outcomes for school, departments, faculty and staff.

Prepares annual reports for the school, such as CCNE, TBON, THECB, AACN, US News and World Report, UTHealth administration and others on institutional effectiveness, oversees student evaluation of courses, faculty evaluations, and serves as evaluator for educational programs/projects.

Supports continuous academic program assessment (curricular and co-curricular activities) and improvement of student learning through consultation with the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs.

Coordinates with the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and the Executive Director of Student Affairs for clearance and awarding of degrees and certificates.

Works with the Academic Program Directors to support the ongoing development and implementation of comprehensive outcomes assessment programs for all academic and administrative units that support the goals the school’s Strategic Plan.

Provides strategic advice and consultation to leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of modifications and enhancements to existing operations, systems, and procedures.

Records, stores, manages, and disseminates confidential and sensitive assessment data, as appropriate.

Leads and supervises office personnel, to include work allocation, training, and problem resolution; provides performance management feedback as appropriate.

Responsible for the design, execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded; financial information is reliable and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:Strong project management skills, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
