Assists the Histology Supervisor in the management of all laboratory functions.

Provides technical guidance and advice to the Histology staff on procedures and troubleshooting. Adapts existing protocols to optimize results.

Maintains quality control and determines suitability of results/materials for release to requesting individuals.

Performs routine to advanced and specialized histology techniques.

Coordinates with support staff for non-clinical duties such as billing and purchasing.

Provides work direction and guidance to personnel within department. May lead projects and activities.

Other duties as assigned.
